Governor Murphy Directs the Lowering of U.S. and New Jersey Flags in Honor of Former Newark Mayor Kenneth Gibson
TRENTON – Today, Governor Murphy signed Executive Order No. 62, ordering U.S. and New Jersey flags to fly at half-staff to honor the life of former Newark Mayor Kenneth Gibson on Monday, April 1, 2019.
“Today’s Newark has its foundation due to Mayor Gibson’s work,” said Governor Murphy. “Although we lost Mayor Gibson, his legacy will continue to live on. Tammy and I send our condolences to his wife, Camille, and his loved ones during this difficult time.”
