Governor Sherrill Endorses Piscataway Councilmembers Frank Uhrin, Dennis Espinosa, Sharon Carmichael and Michele Lombardi for Re-election in Primary

(Piscataway, NJ) -- New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill announced her endorsement of Piscataway Township’s Councilman Frank Uhrin, Councilman Dennis Espinosa, Council Vice-President Sharon Carmichael and Council President Michele Lombardi for re-election in the upcoming June 2nd Democratic Primary.

“Piscataway families deserve real results from their local leaders — and that’s exactly why I’m endorsing Frank Uhrin, Dennis Espinosa, Sharon Carmichael, and Michele Lombardi for reelection. Together, they have delivered on improving Piscataway’s roads, parks, and pedestrian safety, with a commitment to being accessible to residents. I know that they will continue that work so Piscataway families can thrive,” said Governor Sherrill.

The team thanked the Governor for her support and said that they are excited to continue engaging with the voters in town at their doors and at events in the upcoming weeks.

“We are inspired by Governor Sherrill's leadership and honored to receive her support for our entire team. We’re focused on keeping Piscataway a safe, affordable place to live and raise a family where government works to the benefit of all," said Uhrin and Espinosa.

Council President Lombardi and Council Vice-President Carmichael echoed the gratitude for the Governor's support and said, "We understand the challenges families are facing today, and we are focused on providing the best services at the least possible cost as we work together to build an even stronger Piscataway."

Governor Mikie Sherrill's endorsement adds to the growing list of supporters backing the re-election of Piscataway Councilmembers Uhrin, Espinosa, Carmichael and Lombardi, including U.S. Senator Cory Booker, U.S. Representative Frank Pallone, The Hotel and Gaming Trades - AFL-CIO, legislators, county officials, mayors, council members, and Democratic leaders.
The June 2nd Democratic Primary will determine the party’s nominees for the four ward council seats in Piscataway Township.
