Greenwald Statement on Free Standing Cancer Pavilion Announcement

(TRENTON) –  Majority Leader Lou Greenwald (D-Camden, Burlington) released the following statement on today’s announced partnership between RWJBarnabas Health, New Brunswick Development Corporation, and Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ) to create a new Free Standing Cancer Pavilion in New Brunswick by 2025:

“Healthcare has long been one of the biggest drivers of employment and economic opportunity in New Jersey. The announcement of a new Free Standing Cancer Pavilion, which comes just a few weeks after Rutgers CINJ was re-designated New Jersey’s sole Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute, further demonstrates that New Jersey is a hub for cutting edge research and development. I commend Rutgers CINJ, RWJBarnabas Health, and their partners in this sector for working to provide New Jersey residents with the highest quality healthcare in the nation.”
