H2 Gambling Capital and Princeton Public Affairs Group’s Bill Pascrell III Form Strategic Alliance for the United States Sports Betting Market
Manchester UK, 13 June 2019: H2 Gambling Capital (H2), the lead authority regarding market data and operator intelligence on the gambling industry globally has agreed to a strategic alliance with Princeton Public Affairs Group, Inc. (PPAG), the leading strategic advisory, government and public affairs, legal advisory and communications firm in the US gaming industry along with its partner – Bill Pascrell III (BP3). This new strategic alliance will strongly support and promote each company’s unique and leading edge professional services. BP3 and PPAG will promote and support H2’s UK-based market intelligence/consulting company in its on-the-ground coverage of the newly-regulating US sports betting market and H2 will promote and support PPAG and BP3’s professional gaming practice. The move is being announced on the eve of the SIGMA Roadshow and the All American Sports Betting Summit – being led by BP’3 in New Jersey during 16-19 June.
H2’s team has been tracking and forecasting the global market since 1999, with five year forecasts currently out to 2024. In 2017, H2 spent six months deep diving the US illegal sports betting market to size it at $10.4bn GGR pre-the SCOTUS appeal case. It has since published two White Papers with media partners, iGaming Business, that set out its future state-by-state regulated market projections to 2030 – currently $8.4bn GGR across 32 states. H2 called the 2018 onshore US sports betting market spot-on and expects 2019 to push $1bn GGR.
BP3 and PPAG bring credibility and direct hands-on experience of the US sports betting industry as the pioneer behind legalizing online gaming in 2013 and then repealing PASPA with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Phil Murphy in May 2018. BP3 was also instrumental at laying the regulatory foundation for both online gaming and sports betting leading up to their launch in 2013 and 2018 respectively. The powerful and important global strategic alliance will see Pascrell promote H2’s services in the US – particularly its work on ‘deeper dive’ projects such as new state market entry; online/mobile strategy development; operator benchmarking; state regulation/policy formulation; economic/tax impact assessment; responsible gambling programmes; partnering/JV, and third party financial investment.
H2 will concomitantly support and promote BP3 and PPAG in jurisdictions where their globally recognized services can make a difference supporting various operators, suppliers, affiliates and other market service companies entry into new markets for licensing, regulatory and legal affairs, corporate compliance and related matters.
Simon Holliday, Founder at H2 Gambling Capital, said: “H2 is dedicated to providing the best independent data and market intelligence in the sector and particularly within the US. Since PASPA, our clear preference has been to align with respected US partners in the same way we are seeing the leading UK/European operators forming JVs with the major US multi-state gaming companies. The upside of us combining PPAG and BP3’s skillsets with H2’s we believe will be a strong play.”
Bill Pascrell III said: “H2 Gambling Capital is a strong, unique and powerful differentiator in the global gaming market. We are proud to be affiliated with them. Simon and his partner, David Henwood are the best in class. No one else can compete with their in depth research and data analytical skills. They are the market leader in carefully analyzing the data in The US sports betting and on line gaming industry which is critical to businesses in the market.”
