I strongly endorse James R. Barberio for re-election to the position of Mayor of the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills.  As Mayor of Hanover Township, I recognize that there are many challenges and opportunities facing all of our municipalities right now and in the near future. Effective leadership is essential to navigate these challenges while helping to pave the way for opportunities. Mayor Barberio, in the past three years, has proven that he is an effective leader who has worked to improve the condition of Parsippany and many surrounding municipalities.

With Mayor Barberio’s long record of service, he has demonstrated his unique ability to create partnerships and collaborate with neighboring municipalities to develop new solutions to older problems and strategies to face new problems. After returning to Parsippany after a four-year absence, he brought the township back from total financial insolvency. With his extensive experience in municipal government, township management, budgets, financial planning and labor relations, he fully understands how government works.  Mayor Barberio has excelled as an expert in shared services and economic development and is willing to handle the most difficult of challenges.

Mayor Barberio’s pragmatic insight into Parsippany’s issues and needs along with the willingness to examine the issues, sets him apart from other candidates. When I make the decision to support candidates, I assess their values, their knowledge and their effectiveness. I stand behind Mayor James R. Barberio wholeheartedly because his track record indicates a commitment to being a competent leader. He continues to drive positive change and growth.
