VETERAN’S ARE NOTHING MORE THAN PHOTO OPS AND CAMPAIGN PROPS FOR YAEDE

Hamilton, NJ  –  Hamilton Mayoral candidate David Henderson called on his opponent to stop using our nations Veterans, who put their lives on the line for our country, for purely publicity and political stunts.

“Just as recently as Memorial Day, Kelly Yaede disrespected our Veterans by turning the Memorial Day Parade into a campaign event which is just shameful and downright mean.  Memorial Day is a somber day of remembrance, not just another campaign event.”, explained Henderson.  But this isn’t the first campaign that Mayor Yaede saw fit to use Veterans as political pawns. In her 2015 campaign she used the Veterans for a photo opportunity unveiling parking spots for Veterans at Veterans Park.

In her press release she stated – In addition to the parking spaces in Veterans Park, Hamilton Township plans on installing more ‘Wounded Warrior’ reserved parking spaces at other Township buildings and facilities during the coming months.

Needless to say, it’s over 4 years later and there are no other ‘Wounded Warrior’ parking spots designated at any other township facility. “This like everything else she does was purely for political gain and is another example of her empty campaign promises.  She had no problem getting a oversized ‘Mayor’ sign for her personal parking in the first spot at the municipal building the day after she was sworn in, but 4 years later this just turned out to be another political stunt at the expense of our veterans. It’s just shameful” concluded Henderson.
