Being the child of Ukrainian immigrants I grew up with an understanding that the freedoms that we have in this country are not common in other parts of the world and we aren’t guaranteed that we will always have them.

In the spring of 2016 when I heard that Paul Manafort was Donald Trump’s campaign manager, ex-campaign manager for former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, Putin’s puppet who fled in exile to Russia during the 2014 Maidan Revolution, I knew I could not sit back. On the morning of November 9th 2016 I knew that our country as we knew it would be changed forever. When I spoke to Tom Malinowski for the first time, I told him that my family was Ukrainian. He immediately knew I understood the danger we are in and acknowledged my fears. Tom has stood up to dictators, stands strong for American values, Democratic ideals, understands the threats posed by the current administration’s policies and has by far the best background and experience for the job. Unlike some of his opponents he keeps positive and doesn’t engage in negative misleading propaganda. I am confident that Tom Malinowski will work to protect the progress we have made as a nation. That is why I am voting for Tom Malinowski for Congress.
