Hoboken GOP and Hudson County Young Republicans Celebrate Successful Training
Hudson County – The Hoboken Municipal Republican Committee and the Hudson County Young Republicans thank the Leadership Institute and event co-sponsor Young Jewish Conservatives for the successful Grassroots Activism Training held Sunday, March 31 in Hoboken. Joshua Sotomayor Einstein, NJ GOP State Committeeman, said “the room was packed with people from across communities, Jewish conservatives, Hispanic and African American Republicans, Christians, atheists, libertarians and more – it was as the right should always be, a big tent of all types of people united for smaller government.”
Javier Colon, 23 years old and a lifelong West New York resident, attended the seminar and stated “the skills building was so important.” Colon continued, “for example the sessions included knowing how to hold our elected officials accountable by organizing on the local level – you just can’t overrate that kind of knowledge.”
Hoboken Municipal Republican Committee Chairman Chris Carbine felt the training was important because “in Hudson County, NJ, and really all of the north east, it’s more important now than ever to organize against the bloated local and state governments that are making our region unaffordable and unsustainable.”
Nick Codrea, Treasurer of the Hudson County Young Republicans, and Jersey City resident, echoed Carbine’s sentiments. Codrea stated that “there are two main points from the training to remember. First is that the expertise and lessons that the Leadership Institute brought to the table was and remains critically important. Second is that the right is a diverse group and it’s important that organizations like Young Jewish Conservatives, and others empowering conservatives and libertarians from minority communities, continue to grow.”
