Hugin: Affordability Stops in the Family Room
Affordability Stops in the Family Room
MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — The Hugin for Senate campaign today continued a statewide tour of roundtables in West Windsor to discuss the affordability crisis gripping New Jersey and the impact of the proposed state budgets in Mercer County this afternoon.
Speaking to a group of people gathered in a family room, Hugin discussed the impact additional tax hikes would have on residents and families living in Mercer County.
“New Jersey is a great place to raise a family, but my wife and I are concerned that more tax increases will prevent our children from raising their family here,” said West Windsor resident Alok Sharma. “Every year, it seems that our taxes go up and more people leave our state. I would hope that politicians realize that more tax increases will just make our state more unaffordable and will cause more people to move away.”
“Today’s discussion really stands in stark contrast to the discussions I’m reading about in newspapers that are taking place under the capitol dome,” said Ira Marks. “While politicians argue over which taxes to raise on hard-working residents in places like Mercer county, people and families have real concerns about being able to afford to live in our state.”
“Instead of arguing over which taxes to raise on people and families, politicians should be listening to the concerns people have about the affordability crisis facing our state,” said U.S. Senate candidate Bob Hugin. “Doubling down on the same failed policies that have made New Jersey unaffordable and the worst place in the country to do business will only make our state’s problems worse.”
Bob Hugin, a Marine Corps Veteran and business leader who has created thousands of New Jersey jobs, is running for U.S. Senate against incumbent Senator Bob Menendez. For more information visit bobhugin.com.
