Immigrant Groups, Indivisible, Activists to Host “Defund Hate” Week of Action to Push Congress to Cut Funds for ICE and CBP

Protesters will Host 8 Actions to Call on NJ Congressional Delegation to Cut Funds to ICE and CBP

NJ —As Congress returns to session in Washington, immigrant organizations, Indivisible and activists groups from across New Jersey will hold a week of action to demand the NJ Congressional delegation take a stand against attacks on immigrant communities by cutting funding for the agencies that most drive these abuses–Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Congress faces a Sept 30th deadline to reach a spending deal. The demonstration is part of the Indivisible movement’s national Defund Hate Week of Action. Similar actions will be taking place across the country. A national map of events is available here: https://indivisible.org/events
