INDIVISIBLE NJ 4TH DISTRICT JOINS STATEWIDE MOTORCADES PROTESTING TRUMP ADMINISTRATION

The event will take place on August 19 in Bedminster, Colts Neck, Jersey City, and Atlantic City.

COLTS NECK, N.J., (August 17, 2017) ­– On Saturday, August 19, at 11 a.m., Indivisible NJ 4th District will congregate with We the People, Evict Trump-Kushner, and Action Together New Jersey in Bedminster, Colts Neck, Jersey City and Atlantic City to protest the economic irresponsibility and exploitation of the Trump Organization. The demonstration will build upon the weekly motorcades that already take place outside Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster.

“President Trump continues to profit off the taxpayers here in the United States and abroad,” said Laleña Heske, Indivisible NJ 4th District steering committee member. “The president has refused to release his tax returns and continues to have access to the Trump Organization’s daily functions, profits and future planning.”

The American people have no record of foreign entities staying at Trump hotels. The Trump and Kushner families continue to create deals in foreign countries while using the name and influence of the American government.

“The American taxpayers deserve nothing less than transparency and ethical practices by any member of the Trump administration or family, though the line between the two is quickly dissolving,” said Mike Fisher, Indivisible NJ 4th District steering committee member. “This demonstration aims to call the public’s attention to the many abuses of power and unpopular policies pursued by this president and his administration, and to seek change in order to restore our American values.”

The motorcade outside the Trump National Golf Club in Colts Neck will proceed along a route negotiated with local officials, with as little inconvenience to the public as possible. The demonstrators will meet in the Visitor Center parking lot at Dorbrook Recreation Area on Rt. 537 at 10 a.m. At approximately 10:45 a.m., the demonstrators will proceed in their vehicles to Rt. 34 South, turn right onto Professional Circle and follow its loop around past the Trump National Golf Course entrance, then exit back onto Rt. 34 South and repeat.
