Jersey City Police Department Continues Historic Growth as Additional Officers are Sworn in, Increasing Strategic Deployments and Crime Reduction Efforts
Latest Graduating Class Comprised of Mostly Minorities, Highlighting City’s Diversity Recruitment Efforts
What: Mayor Steven M. Fulop continues to expand the Jersey City Police Department as additional recruits take the Oath of Office. The recruits are from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities, with nearly 70-percent of the new class representing minority populations that make the diverse City so unique. The new officers will play a key role in the City’s overall commitment to enhancing public safety and expanding police presence citywide.
