Jersey City, Team Walker, and Office of Diversity and Inclusion Advance Inclusive Workforce Development Through Embankment Project Job Fair

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The City of Jersey City’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion, in partnership with Team Walker, successfully hosted The Embankment Experience: Building Futures Together — Embankment Project Information Session and Job Fair, bringing together residents, employers, and public- and private-sector partners to expand equitable access to employment opportunities connected to the Embankment Project.

Held at the Team Walker Building, the event provided a direct platform for job seekers to meet with recruiters, participate in informational sessions, and explore career pathways within the construction and infrastructure sectors. The partnership between the City of Jersey City and Team Walker reflected a shared commitment to inclusive hiring, workforce readiness, and community-centered economic development.

The job fair underscored the importance of strategic public-private partnerships in ensuring that major infrastructure investments translate into meaningful opportunities for local residents.
