Jim Johnson Statement on Recent Reports Regarding President Trump 

Following the recent New York Times reports regarding President Trump’s potential obstruction of justice, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jim Johnson released the following statement:

“The disclosures brought to light by the New York Times in the last 48 hours regarding President Trump are deeply troubling, and I believe we are entering a zone reminiscent of Watergate.  A special prosecutor and independent commission should be established immediately to find out the truth in a way that would ensure public trust. If the findings are such that President Trump obstructed justice, Congress must begin impeachment proceedings.”

Yesterday, at a press conference down the road from the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, Johnson unveiled his “Trump Protection Plan,” a five-point agenda to defend New Jersey from President Trump and his administration. Read the plan in full here.
