John Bartlett Announces Huge First Fundraising Haul in NJ-11's Special Election
Just Five Days In, Bartlett Has Over $517,770 Cash On Hand
WAYNE, NJ – Just five days after launching his campaign to succeed Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill as the Representative for New Jersey's 11th Congressional District, County Commissioner and voting rights lawyer John Bartlett has amassed more than $517,000 cash on hand. His haul includes more than $350,000 raised in the five days since he announced his campaign. Bartlett's impressive fundraising haul signals strong grassroots enthusiasm for his message of making life more affordable, defending democracy, and taking on MAGA Republicans.
"I am incredibly grateful for the overwhelming wave of support our campaign has received in our first five days," Bartlett said. "This outpouring from hundreds of donors shows that New Jersey families are ready for a representative who focuses on public service over self-service, and who has a record of fighting and winning on the issues that matter to New Jerseyans. I'm ready to take on Trump and the MAGA Republicans who are tearing down our democracy and making life more expensive for the rest of us. This early momentum is critical, and every supporter who visits our website to contribute will be investing in the fight for affordability, opportunity, and democracy."
Bartlett is the candidate who brings a proven record of results and a sharp contrast to Washington's dysfunction. As a County Commissioner, Bartlett has lowered the county property tax rate for nine straight years, secured over $600 million in new federal funding for infrastructure and transit, and invested in new parks and public schools while helping families afford the rising cost of food, housing, and energy. He has successfully fought Donald Trump in the Supreme Court to stop him from weaponizing the Census against immigrant communities, and went toe-to-toe with Republicans in federal Court to protect the right to vote.
