Kean Re-Elected Senate Republican Leader

The New Jersey Senate Republican caucus has re-elected Senator Tom Kean (R-Union, Morris, Somerset) as its leader for the upcoming 2018-2019 legislative session.

Following his selection, Kean issued the following remarks:

“It’s an honor to have been given the opportunity by my colleagues to continue serving as Senate Republican Leader.

“The coming years will present some difficult challenges for New Jersey, but they are challenges we can overcome if reasonable people from across the political spectrum are willing to work together.

“Our first priority must be to address the crisis of affordability that has driven so many New Jerseyans to other states.

“We must work to protect the investments people have made in New Jersey, in their homes, jobs, businesses, and the education of their children.

“I believe there is common ground that can be found in support of this important cause. Senate Republicans are committed to being part of the solution.”
