Kim Guadagno Earns Official Republican Party Line In Ocean and Passaic Counties

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 8, 2017
West Long Branch, NJ – Kim Guadagno today received the endorsement of the Ocean and Passaic County Republican organizations, bringing the total number of official Republican Party ballot lines awarded to the lieutenant governor to four.

“By supporting our campaign, Republicans are sending a loud message: we must set better priorities in Trenton to make our state more affordable,” said Lieutenant Governor Guadagno. “As Governor, I will audit Trenton, cut taxes and increase accountability with an independent attorney general.”

Ocean County is the largest Republican county in the Garden State. During the 2016 election, President Trump swept Ocean County with 66% of the vote – the highest percentage of any county in the state. Together, Ocean and Passaic accounted for over 240,000 Republican votes.

Guadagno added, “Ocean and Passaic Republicans know that our campaign will give New Jersey voters the clearest choice this November. Do we raise taxes and force more New Jerseyans to move to another state to find jobs under Phil Murphy and the Democrats? Or do we cut taxes, hold Trenton accountable and grow jobs under a Guadagno administration?”

Since launching her campaign on January 17, Guadagno has announced the support of over 300 Republican Party officials and local organizations from all 21 counties. She has also exceeded the $430,000 fundraising threshold to qualify for public matching funds. In addition to Ocean and Passaic Counties, Guadagno has also secured the official Republican Party line on the June 6th primary ballot in Hudson and Warren counties.

The final vote count in Ocean County:

  • 153 – Kim Guadagno
  • 8 – Jack Ciattarelli
  • 6 – Joseph Rudy Rullo
  • 1 – Hirsh Singh
