Latina Civic Action Announces Dynamic 2026 Executive Leadership Team and elects a new bench of General Board Members

Reinforcing Its Mission to Boost Representation and Foster Systemic Change Across NJ Government and Politics

Trenton, NJ – Latina Civic Action (LCA), New Jersey’s leading bipartisan organization dedicated to empowering Latinas, today announced its 2026 slate of executive officers and new general board members for 2026. This new leadership announcement comes at a crucial time as LCA intensifies its mission to ensure Latina leadership is recognized not only as a niche interest but as a mainstream force driving the state’s economic vitality, neighborhood vibrancy, and electoral power.

“Progress happens when Latinas lead,” says Patricia Campos-Medina, President of Latina Civic Action. “Our role is clear: we identify, train, and champion Latina leaders at every level of government. We’re not just opening doors, we’re building the rooms where New Jersey’s future is decided.”

“Our new leadership slate represents more than a rotation of titles; it’s indicative of an expansion of our political power and our commitment to representation,” said Laura Matos, Chair of Latina Civic PAC. “When Latinas lead— whether as mayors, CEOs, legislators…we don’t just take a seat at the table, we help to set the agenda. We champion policies that open doors, help to address challenges faced by all our communities, and create meaningful and lasting change. Our mission is clear: to ensure Latinas don't just have a voice in New Jersey's future, but the authority to shape it.”

“The Latina Civic Foundation is committed to unlocking opportunity through education and elevating the next generation of Latina leaders,” states María del Cid-Kosso, Chair of the Latina Civic Foundation. “Investing in Latina women creates a ripple effect that uplifts families, communities and future generations. By ensuring our Latina youth see themselves in positions of power, we move closer to a future where leadership truly reflects who we are".
