The Latino Action Network Foundation has issued the following statement mourning the death of Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver:

The Latino Action Network Foundation mourns the untimely passing of Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver. A dedicated public servant, Lieutenant Governor Oliver made a career of breaking glass ceilings. She fought with courage and unfailing dedication to expand opportunities for working families and those in poverty, particularly from communities of color. And she did it all with unfailing kindness and respect.
We will miss working with our friend and champion but know that she will live on in a rich legacy that positively impacts the lives of millions of New Jersey residents.
