LD30 Democrats: Kean and Thomson Disappoint Again
Kean and Thomson Disappoint Again
Assemblyman Sean T Kean, Esq. and Assemblyman Edward “Ned” Thomson continue
to disappoint by not showing up. A common theme when you speak to voters in the 30th
Legislative District is that they don’t know who the current Legislators are. Kean and
Thomson don’t appear to plan on changing that anytime soon.
Kean and Thomson were invited to the New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent
Association Legislative Meet and Greet on Tuesday September 14th, but neither of
them took the time to attend. This nonpartisan event drew Legislators and hopeful
Legislators from both sides of the aisle to Atlantic City to speak with the NJ FMBA about
their legislative goals. Kean and Thomson’s absence was obvious and noticed by many.
Failing to be there for a firefighters, EMTs, and dispatchers just 3 days after the 20th
anniversary of 9/11 is very disappointing.
Wednesday word came down from Rosemary Venter, Forum Organizer, League of
Women Voters of Southern Monmouth that the non partisan LD30 candidates forum,
hosted by the LWV and sponsored by The New Jersey Religious Action Center of
Reform Judaism, had to be canceled “due to a lack of participation by the candidates
from one party”. Kean and Thomson again would not appear in a nonpartisan forum to
discuss their goals.
The first role of any Legislator is to be there for their constituents. It’s very disappointing
that neither Kean or Thomson will take the time to do just that. This November voters in
Legislative District 30 have an opportunity to elect Legislators who will put the
communities of LD30 first.
