Linden Mayor Derek Armstead Endorses Sean Spiller for Governor

Linden, NJ - Linden Mayor Derek Armstead announced his official endorsement of Sean Spiller for Governor today, joining the growing movement of support that Spiller has received from every corner of New Jersey. Spiller has made affordability and reforming our broken political system a centerpiece of his campaign, and continues to rack up support from working New Jerseyans left behind by the insiders, developers, and wealthy Wall Street insiders who are trying to buy this race.

“As a teacher, coach, immigrant, and former Mayor, I’m proud to have the support of a strong leader like Mayor Armstead, who has been leading the fight for fairness and opportunity in Linden,” said Sean Spiller. “Together, we’re going to elect a Governor who will make New Jersey more affordable, give a real voice to working people, and protect the fundamental rights of every New Jerseyan from bullies like Donald Trump.”

Former State Senator Ray Lesniak from the adjacent City of Elizabeth, another endorser of Spiller for Governor said, “I welcome Mayor Armstead joining me supporting Sean Spiller for Governor. Mayor Armstead is a strong advocate of fairness, equal educational and economic opportunities for all Linden residents - as will be Governor Spiller.”

“New Jersey needs bold leaders like Sean Spiller who aren’t afraid to stand up to the big special interests and wealthy insiders,” said Mayor Armstead. “Sean has spent his life taking on big fights on behalf of students, teachers, seniors, and working people from every corner of the state. He doesn’t back down, he doesn’t give up, and as Governor I know he will make New Jersey a stronger, safer, and more affordable place to live for everyone.”
