Lisa McCormick urges Americans to read the Mueller report

Tens of thousands of Americans are committing to read the Mueller report from cover to cover, and New Jersey’s leading progressive Democrat is inviting citizens to join the historic endeavor.

Lisa McCormick says Americans should read the Mueller Report to avoid being misinformed or deceived, because citizens have responsibility.

“We’re calling on Americans to start local reading groups across the country, and to join us online for a once-weekly broadcast to discuss the Mueller Report,” said Lisa McCormick.

McCormick said the document is an in-depth summary about the Russian effort to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

The Report On The Investigation Into Russian Interference In The 2016 Presidential Election, otherwise known as the Mueller Report, is the 448 page report prepared by Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III that was released in redacted form to the public on Thursday, April 18th 2019.

The report is available as a free audio book from Audible that is timed at about 19 hours or it may be downloaded for free in PDF format, directly from the Department of Justice.

“From the outset, false or deceptive information has plagued the public’s understanding of what happened during the 2016 election,” said Lisa McCormick. “The special counsel spent time and money investigating the events surrounding the most controversial election of our time and we owe it to our nation to honestly absorb what the FBI agents, prosecutors and counter-intelligence professionals found during the probe.”

There are conference call for readers or anyone can also watch the via Facebook Live on the Mueller Book Club Facebook page.

“One cannot get a sense of truth from cable TV news or corporate-controlled media outlets but the entire Mueller report is available online, for free to ever United States citizen,” said McCormick, who earned a stunning 159,998 votes in the 2018 Democratic primary election for US Senate without spending more than $5,000, but instead building a statewide network of volunteers to wage a people-powered campaign. “President Donald Trump’s supporters and detractors both have an obligation to consider all the facts discovered during the investigation.”

Only 24 percent of Americans have read part of Mueller’s report, while 75 percent have opted not to read any of the 448-page document.

“I believe that people who read the entire report will come to a better understanding of the facts,” said McCormick. “I am confident that anyone who does not take time to read the report will be misinformed, because there has been a lot of distraction on top of the reckless and dishonest attempts to prevent a candid look at these facts.”

“Since this is the United States of America, it is time for us to come together,” said McCormick. “People who get the whole story will recognize who did what, and I believe we will arrive at similar conclusions on the questions about what must be done because we really share the same values no matter what one’s political preferences may be.”

Over the course of 4 weeks, Mueller Book Club participants will read the entire report together, section by section, hearing from legal and policy experts to explain its contents and address key questions.

“Our ultimate goal is that Mueller Book Club participants will not only understand the implications of the report, but that they will use that understanding to inform their friends, family and communities about what it means to the United States of America and our future,” said McCormick.
