LIUNA VP Pocino: Oliver will be an Outstanding Lieutenant Governor

(MONROE TWP.) – Raymond M. Pocino, Vice President – Laborer’s International Union of North America (LIUNA) and Eastern Regional Manager, on Tuesday congratulated LIUNA-endorsed New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Phil Murphy on his selection of Assemblywoman Sheila Y. Oliver (D-Essex) to be his running mate.

                Vice President Pocino issued the following statement:

“Congratulations to Phil Murphy on his masterful choice of former Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver as his running mate.  Phil’s selection of Sheila has taken an already strong ticket and gives it added governance and policy depth on the many issues facing our state.

“In working with Sheila over the years, she has made it clear through her actions and her body of legislative work that her focus and passion lies in supporting and improving the lives of New Jersey’s working families, whether they live in our cities, suburbs or rural communities.  She is a strong voice for economic improvements to the state that benefit both businesses and the middle-class. She is an advocate for on-the-job training and re-training so that our workforce remains able to meet the demands of 21^st century employment. And she has fought for years to make our state more affordable.
