Mahwah Republican County Committee Holds Reorganization Meeting to Elect New Leadership

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ramsey, NJ – The Mahwah Republican County Committee convened for a reorganization meeting on Friday, July 5. The meeting took place at the office of former congressional candidate Frank Pallotta in Ramsey, following a highly contentious primary election where nine of the township’s 14 districts saw contested races— an abnormality for Mahwah; which happens to have a nonpartisan local government. The newly elected committee members tapped Phil Ross, of District 8, to be the Municipal Chair. Michael Schnoll, of District 1, was tapped to be the Municipal Vice Chair. Ross was nominated by Schnoll, and Schnoll was nominated by Councilman Ward Donigian. Ross succeeds outgoing Chairwoman Tracy Miceli, a former Montvale councilwoman who lost her county committee seat in the primary election on June 4. Schnoll, in his new post, succeeds former committee member Josephine Rabolli.

“I am thrilled to have been elected as the Mahwah Republican Municipal Chair, and am eager to revitalize our committee’s efforts in supporting Republican candidates up and down the ballot this November and in the future,” stated Chairman Phil Ross. “This year marks a pivotal election, and it is crucial that our party unites to elect President Trump and secure victories for Republicans in Mahwah and Bergen County.”

Vice Chairman Michael Schnoll expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am honored to serve as Vice Chair of the party I love, in the town I have called home for all of my 23 years. I look forward to working with Phil, our elected officials, and the entire Bergen County Republican Organization to strengthen our party and ensure the township delivers a resounding victory for President Trump so we can return to be the GOP stronghold that Mahwah once was.”

Mahwah is the largest town in the 39th Legislative District, and also has one of the largest amounts of Republican voters in Bergen County and the 5th Congressional District.
