Maloney Backs Schroth for Mercer County Democratic Chair

Mike Maloney, President of the Mercer County Central Labor Council, and Business Manager, for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Local 9, today endorsed the candidacy of Dave Schroth for Mercer County Democratic Committee Chairman.

“ I am very pleased to give my support, and my vote to Dave Schroth to serve as the next Chairman of the Mercer County Democratic Committee. Many people know that I was extremely disappointed when the Mercer County Democratic Committee elected the current Chair two years ago. I publicly expressed my displeasure with the chair because of the terrible record the chair had established over the years working with organized trade unions.  Dave Schroth will be the type of Chairman that will be receptive to and supportive of the labor community.  I believe that together we can work successfully as we seek to put people to work and help them take care of their families,” stated Maloney.

As the President of Mercer County Central Labor Council, Maloney is influential in Mercer County and the State of New Jersey in all matters and issues relating to organized labor.

Dave Schroth commented, “The endorsement of candidacy by Mike Maloney is a validation that I greatly appreciate and value.  His leadership in Mercer County on behalf of organized labor and working families is legendary, and respected throughout the County and the State.  If elected Chairman of the Mercer County Democratic Committee, it would be my profound pleasure to welcome Mike Maloney back into the fold of the Mercer County Democratic Committee. We will be a stronger organization with Mike’s presence.  We have missed working with Mike and we eagerly await his return.”

“Mercer County is a labor friendly county, with a vibrant economy, a large and experience workforce, and exceptional infrastructure.  These are the factors that make Mercer County the best place to live, work and play,” said Schroth.
