Mayor Gusciora’s Statement Regarding the Departure of Superintendent McDowell

TRENTON, N.J. – Mayor Reed Gusciora responded to a decision by the Trenton Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. Fredrick McDowell to part ways effective August 30, 2019.

“I wish Dr. McDowell all the best and thank him for his service,” said Gusciora. “I am confident the new Board in place will conduct an extensive search to find the most qualified candidate to lead the District in its next chapter, which will include the opening of a state of the art Trenton Central High School this fall.”
