Mayor Kurt Peluso, Councilwoman Cristina Cutrone, and Kris Krause Announce Candidacies for Fair Lawn Borough Council

Fair Lawn – Mayor Kurt Peluso, Councilwoman Cristina Cutrone and Kris Krause announced their candidacies today for Fair Lawn Borough Council in the upcoming election. The candidates received the full endorsement of the local Fair Lawn Democratic organizations.

“We have worked hard to pass budgets two years in a row without a tax increase, while also taking big steps to improve our community, including upgrading our recreational fields, installing new traffic signals to keep pedestrians safe and welcoming new businesses to our town,” said Peluso, who has served as Fair Lawn’s mayor for the past two years and as a council member for eight years. “It’s an honor to serve this community, and along with Cristina and Kris, we have a great team that won’t stop working for Fair Lawn residents.”

“Since joining the council, one of my top priorities has been to ensure that our residents have safe drinking water in their homes,” said Cutrone, a councilwoman since 2018, who was instrumental in initiating an independent study of Fair Lawn’s water quality. “I am running for re-election so that we can continue making our community healthier and safer for residents, fighting for taxpayers and doing more to improve the quality of life for our seniors and young families, such as working with our revitalized Senior Citizen Advisory Committee and creating family-friendly town-wide events where all can participate.”

“I’m proud to be running alongside two people who work so hard to keep Fair Lawn affordable, while also focusing on enhancing what makes Fair Lawn such a great place to call home and raise a family,” said Krause, an attorney who is active in the community as a youth wrestling coach with Fair Lawn All Sports and as a member of the borough Pool Committee. “I share Kurt and Cristina’s commitment to passing budgets with zero tax increases and I am excited to be running so that we can work together to build the best future that we can for our families.”
