LITTLE FALLS, NJ — Today, Ali Aljarrah, progressive candidate for Passaic County Commissioner, was endorsed by Newark Mayor Ras Baraka. The progressive standard-bearer in New Jersey, Mayor Baraka highlighted Aljarrah’s civil rights advocacy and platform to make housing more affordable as reasons for the endorsement.

“Mayor Baraka knows firsthand what it means to put your body on the line for your community. That’s the kind of fight that the people of Passaic County need right now,” said Ali Aljarrah. “This campaign is building a grassroots coalition that’s ready for a new kind of politics, one that’s ready to meet the needs of working class people. Together we can win a Passaic County that works for all of us.”
