Mayoral Candidate Chauncey Brown Postpones Mayoral Campaign and Endorses Bill
McKoy for Mayor

Paterson – March 3, 2018: Mayoral Candidate and Community Activist Chauncey
Brown postpones his campaign for Mayor and endorses Councilman Bill McKoy for
Mayor of the City of Paterson.

In an endorsement today at Team McKoy’s Campaign Headquarters, Mayoral Candidate
Chauncey Brown III stated, “It has been a longstanding tradition of the Brown family to
play a role in helping to chart the course of direction for this great city we have loved and
called our home for three generations. I sought to step up and place my name on the
ballot as our next mayor, but after careful consideration I have decided to decline this run
and put my time and energy into a candidate we can all trust to fix what has long been
broken. Without reservation, my family and I endorse William “Bill” McKoy as the next
mayor.”

Chauncey Brown III continued, “Bill McKoy has the strong leadership and management
skills we need to get our city back on track. He is honest, fair, sensible and our best
solution to Move Paterson Forward with integrity.”

In response to Chauncey Brown III’s endorsement Mayoral Candidate Bill McKoy
stated: “It is a great honor to receive the support of a leader in our community such as
Chauncey Brown.” McKoy continued, “I look forward to working with Chauncey to
Move Paterson Forward.”
