Mercer Joins Statewide Purchasing Pool
TRENTON – Mercer County has joined BidNet Direct’s New Jersey Purchasing Group, and will be publishing and distributing upcoming bid opportunities on the system, announced County Executive Brian M. Hughes.
The New Jersey Purchasing Group is a single, online location for managing sourcing information and activities, and Mercer County will use the system to streamline the purchasing process, including bid management, bid distribution and vendor relations. The Group will expand the county’s vendor pool and enhance vendor competition without increasing distribution costs. In addition to the existing vendors on the New Jersey Purchasing Group, all vendors looking to do business with Mercer County can register online at bidnetdirect.com/new-jersey
Registered vendors can access all open bids, related documents and files, addenda and award information. Registered vendors have access to not only Mercer County bid opportunities, but all participating agency bids.
“This is a win for Mercer County and our vendors,” Mr. Hughes said. “Through this online system, vendors will have direct access to our open bids, along with those from other agencies throughout the state, saving time, money and paper.”
