Mercer Seeks Public Comments on Lincoln Ave. Bridge Project

TRENTON – Mercer County will be hosting an online Public Information Center (PIC) to inform residents, officials, businesses and the general public of the Preliminary Engineering Phase of the Lincoln Avenue Bridge Replacement Project, located in the City of Trenton. You are encouraged to actively participate by providing comments by mail or email.

Due to the COVID-19 public health emergency this PIC will be conducted virtually from February 1 through February 18, 2021, and can be accessed at the following internet location: https://www.linavbr.com

Mercer County, which is committed to developing transportation improvements that best balance transportation needs, the environment, community concerns and costs, is holding this virtual PIC in coordination with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) to provide local residents and businesses with information on the Reconstruction of the Lincoln Avenue Bridge over the inactive Amtrak Rail Line, and the Assunpink Creek Project. Interested parties are encouraged to review the project presentation and submit questions or leave feedback. Property owners with rental units are advised that tenants are also invited and encouraged to participate, and the meeting is open to all members of the public.

The overall purpose of the reconstruction of Bridge MC#140.9 (NJDOT #1100-055) is to replace the subject bridge with a low maintenance, long-term solution that eliminates all existing structural deficiencies; incorporates operational, safety and pedestrian access improvements to the bridge; and minimizes impacts to the adjoining community and environment.
