to New York Team

Devlin Joins Mercury as Managing Director

New York, NY – Mercury, a leading global, bipartisan public strategy firm, today announced the addition of Kim Devlin as a managing director in its New York office. Devlin is a veteran electoral, non-profit and communications strategist, advisor, and consultant.

“Kim is an experienced campaign and communications professional with a reach that extends far beyond New York,” said Mercury Partner Michael McKeon. “She brings with her an impressive roster including political, labor, business and non-profit clients.”

Devlin has served as campaign manager, general consultant, strategist, communications and press advisor and spokesperson for numerous candidates, political committees and causes in every region of the U.S., including New York, Texas and Hawaii. She has also worked internationally, advising an opposition party to successfully defeat an eleven-year entrenched authoritarian government. Devlin has deep experience in media relations and has worked extensively with the New York, Texas, Capitol Hill and national press corps in both advocacy and political settings.

As senior strategist and lead consultant, Devlin advised a labor-management trade organization on its well-funded advocacy campaigns for major projects impacting its members. She also executed the independent expenditure campaign for two cycles for a police union in New York. In addition, Devlin managed a targeted outreach and advocacy campaign on the West Coast for a renewable energy company that would create thousands of public, private sector and union jobs.

“I am excited to work with the amazing talent in Mercury’s NY office, as well as nationally and internationally,” said Devlin. “I look forward to utilizing my network and experience to expand Mercury’s impact.”

Devlin was the general consultant and lead strategist for the successful campaigns of Congressman Tom Suozzi (NY-03) in 2016, 2018 and 2020 and she will continue to serve as his senior political advisor apart from her work with Mercury.
