Michael Roth for Congress Sees Outpouring of Support at the Morris County Democratic Committee Convention

Randolph, NJ – Today, Michael Roth, candidate for Congress in NJ-07, finished in second place with 48% of the vote in the final round at the Morris County Democratic Committee Convention with a surge of grassroots support.

“We are thrilled to have received the support of so many voting delegates in Morris County, which is the future of Democratic politics in New Jersey,” said Michael Roth. “Morris County Democrats are independent thinkers who demand reform, and to have ranked as consistently high as we did both here and across so many of these conventions — and as the underdog in this primary — we have a clear path ahead of us to achieve victory in the June primary.

“Now, we can turn our full focus towards earning every single vote we can in Morris, Sussex, Hunterdon, Warren, Somerset, and Union Counties to build the movement to win in June and the coalition we need to win in November. And we’re going to do it together.”

The Next Chapter

Michael Roth was also the top-ranked candidate for Congressional priorities, leadership style, and many other top issues for his appearance at the Indivisible Lambertville-New Hope debate and through the candidate questionnaire.

With his momentum in fundraising, unparalleled experience to deliver real results on day one in Congress, and growing grassroots support across the district, Michael Roth is best positioned to take on Tom Kean Jr. this November, flip NJ-07, and bring a Democratic majority back to the House.
