MIDDLESEX COUNTY GOP SCREENING COMMITTEE UNANIMOUSLY APPROVES KIPNIS 12TH DISTRICT CONGRESSIONAL CAMPAIGN BID Republican Daryl Kipnis And Other Candidates Get Historic Show Of Solidarity
OLD BRIDGE, NJ, March 15, 2018 – New Jersey 12th District congressional candidate, and Somerset attorney, Daryl Kipnis won the unanimous support of the Middlesex County Republican Organization’s Screening Committee Wednesday night.
“It was an honor to meet with the Middlesex County Republican Organization Screening Committee and share my positive message for the future of our congressional district, our State, and our country,” Kipnis said. “Its unanimous vote of 46-0 for myself and my fellow candidates was a remarkable sign of unity and a commitment of the Middlesex GOP to work to improve the lives of everyone in the County.”
Kipnis joined fellow candidates Bob Hugin for US Senate, Rich Pezzullo for the 6th Congressional District, Lewis Glogower and Rich Castaldo for Middlesex County Freeholder, in getting the unanimous vote of the committee.
Middlesex County GOP Chairman Emeritus Senator Sam Thompson and Ocean County GOP Chairman George Gilmore were both present for the evening’s proceedings.
Municipal chairs and grassroots leaders casted their votes on the chilly evening at the George Bush Center in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
Middlesex County GOP Chairwoman Lucille Panos said it was the first time that the screening committee voted unanimously to support all the candidates running.
“For the first time, the committee stood united for all the candidates in a way that it never had before,” she said. “Middlesex County Republicans are united in changing the direction of our county and our state.”
Panos said that Kipnis’ positive, issues-based campaign is ideal to challenge 12th District Democratic Incumbent Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman and her divisive rhetoric and actions since taking office four years ago.
“Daryl is a great candidate to move our country and the 12th District forward,” Middlesex County GOP Chairman Lucille Panos said. “His strong work ethic, moral leadership, core principles, and enthusiasm is exactly the positive direction needed for our region, state and country. New Jersey needs someone like Daryl.”
Panos said she is excited to bring Kipnis and the other candidates to the county’s Republican Convention at Sayreville High School on March 24.
More than 250 Registered Republicans from throughout the county will meet to formally nominate its slate of candidates for the June primary and November general elections.
Middlesex County is the only one in New Jersey to welcome all registered Republicans to take part in its convention, Panos said.
