Mikie Sherrill Calls on Congressman Frelinghuysen to Prioritize New Jersey’s Clean Air and Water

In response to the New Jersey Delegation’s request that Congressman Frelinghuysen reject President Trump’s budget cuts to the critical Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board, candidate for Congress Mikie Sherrill released the following statement:

“I am deeply concerned about keeping our drinking water and air quality clean. The Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board is critical to keeping New Jersey communities, families, workers, and first responders safe. Nearly the entire New Jersey Congressional delegation—Republicans and Democrats alike—is working to prevent these devastating cuts, making Representative Frelinghuysen’s silence even more striking. Rep. Frelinghuysen’s refusal to use his power to help New Jersey families shows why he needs to be replaced next fall.”
