Milam, Land and Mazzeo Bill to Streamline Process for Business Assistance Applications Approved by Assembly

(TRENTON) – Moving to make it easier for businesses to determine eligibility for assistance programs, Assemblymen Matt Milam (D-Cape May, Atlantic, Cumberland), Bruce Land (D-Cape May, Atlantic, Cumberland) and Vince Mazzeo (D-Atlantic) released the following joint statement on their bill (A-5142) to require the Business Action Center (BAC) to develop and publish an online form for New Jersey businesses to apply for assistance. The measure recently passed the full Assembly by a vote tally of 76-0.

“In order for our economy to prosper, our business community must prosper. The Business Action Center offers many free and confidential resources for New Jersey businesses to grow and thrive, including small business grants, expert consultants, project management services and an emergency call center for businesses impacted by natural disasters.

“The easily accessible online application, created through this bill, will help businesses connect with the BAC and determine if they are eligible for support.”
