Millburn Democrats Name Candidates for Township Committee 

 

Millburn, NJ- (March 31, ’19)…The Millburn Democratic Committee today announced incumbent Mayor Dianne Eglow along with Short Hills resident Richard Wasserman will be this year’s Democratic candidates for two seats on the 5-member Township Committee.  

 

Millburn Democratic Chairlady Annette Romano said the two candidates were selected by a vote of the Millburn Democratic Committee after an extensive interview process. 

 

Mayor Eglow, seeking her second 3-year term on the Township governing body, has lived in town since 1969. She is a graduate of the Millburn High School and along with her husband, Dr. Michael Eglow, raised three children all of whom are graduates of the local school system. 

 

Mayor Eglow was an active member of the Volunteer First Aid Squad for more than 15 years as well as a member of the Board. She has been credited with introducing a new sense of transparency and upgraded communications with town residents and township employees.  

 

Richard Wasserman, a graduate of Ithaca College and the Gemological Institute of America, is a Private Jeweler in New York City. He is a recognized expert in the Diamond Industry and a sought after speaker at Conclaves on Customer Services. 

 

Wasserman serves as Board Vice-Chairman for the Vanderbilt YMCA and has been recognized for his work raising funds for underprivileged children and as an advocate for local Millburn merchants.
