Millennials Meeting With Hugin Fault Cost of Living
MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — The Hugin for Senate campaign today kicked off a statewide tour of roundtable events to discuss the affordability crisis gripping New Jersey and the impact of the proposed state budgets.
Speaking to the millennial-aged group, Hugin echoed earlier concern that raising taxes is the wrong direction for New Jersey.
“We all know someone who has or is leaving New Jersey. It’s sad because I was raised here and now more and more of my friends have left the state,” said Justin Musella of Morris County.
“Tomorrow’s leaders get it—New Jersey is unaffordable and more of the Murphy-Menendez tax and spend politics will only exacerbate the problem,” said U.S. Senate candidate Bob Hugin. “Raising taxes is absolutely the wrong direction for our state. New Jerseyans are taxed enough already, making our state inhospitable to business and forcing millennials, seniors, and working families to leave because they simply can’t afford it anymore.”
“People are sick of it. No matter the party affiliation. We’ve had enough of a Senator that spent much of his last term defending himself in court. I am so glad to be here this morning and have a real discussion with someone who is running to represent us,” said Dan Beckleman of Hudson County.
Hugin’s affordability tour will continue tomorrow in Red Bank where he will be meeting with local business owners.
Bob Hugin, a Marine Corps Veteran and business leader who has created thousands of New Jersey jobs, is seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate to challenge incumbent Democrat Senator Bob Menendez.
