(TRENTON) – Paving the way for autonomous vehicles on New Jersey roads, encouraging economic development and growth among small businesses that could benefit from a lower-cost liquor license, and requiring suspension of school bus driver endorsement due to multiple vehicle violations top Monday Assembly Committee agendas.
Also to be considered: Bills adding tick control to duties of state and county mosquito control commissions and establishing “Invasive Species Task Force;” a measure ensuring residents are notified at least five days before public utilities are shut off; and legislation establishing oversight of federal funds the state receives.
The Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee and the Assembly Science, Innovation and Technology Committee will meet jointly on Monday, October 22 at 10:00 AM in Committee Room 11 on the 4th Floor of the State House Annex. The committees will receive testimony from invited guests concerning the development and regulation of autonomous vehicles operating in New Jersey.
