MONICA BERDNIK AND FAMILY ENDORSE ADAMO FOR SHERIFF AND LAZZARA, DE VORE, AND BARTLETT FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONER
PASSAIC COUNTY—The family of the late Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik, led by his wife Monica Berdnik, released the following statement endorsing Chief Thomas Adamo for Passaic County Sheriff and his running mates, County Commissioner candidates Cassandra “Sandi” Lazzara, Rodney De Vore, and John Bartlett.
“I can honestly say the last thing I would like to do is weigh in on a political campaign, but choosing the successor for Richard’s position as Passaic County Sheriff is simply too important to ignore. My husband took great pride in his work as Sheriff, working within communities to establish partnerships with leaders and law enforcement, and making progress in modernizing law enforcement techniques. He worked hard to put the office on firm financial ground for the benefit of County taxpayers, and he valued serving the public.
Tommy Adamo was a tremendous partner for my husband and shares the same vision for how the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office can positively serve our communities. I believe Richard saw Tommy as his natural successor and was proud of his diligence and dedication, rising through the ranks over the last three decades. Richard admired hard work and integrity in others, and Tommy Adamo embodied those values by learning every position within the Sheriff’s Office, always avoiding political maneuvering and backroom antics.
My entire family is supporting Thomas Adamo for County Sheriff, as well as Sandi Lazzara, Rodney De Vore, and John Bartlett for County Commissioner because we believe they are the best people for the important work that needs to be done on behalf of Passaic County residents and families.”
