Mukherji & Chaparro Statement on Budget Vote, Horizon Bill

(TRENTON) – Assembly Democrats Raj Mukherji and Annette Chaparro (both D-Hudson) issued the following statement:

“The people of New Jersey deserve a budget that employs their tax dollars in a manner that is fair, judicious and aimed at making their lives better. The Democratic budget meets those criteria, and we are pleased that Speaker Prieto was able to broker a deal that makes upholding forward-looking values possible.

“The new Horizon legislation protects the insurer’s 3.8 million policyholders while presenting a compromise that will ensure progressive ideals are a priority in New Jersey. This is a win for the people of our state.”
