The N.J. Chamber of Commerce was saddened to learn of the passing of State Sen. Anthony Bucco on Monday night.
Sen. Bucco was a faithful and stalwart public servant in the state legislature, as mayor of his hometown of Boonton and as a Morris County Freeholder. The N.J. Chamber was proud to recognize Sen. Bucco with our Legislator of the Year Award in 2013.
His passion for our state was obvious, surpassed only by his passion for his family.
His experience as a long-time businessman in New Jersey made his insights extremely valuable to the legislature and to me personally.
I will be forever grateful that I knew Sen. Bucco and could call him a friend.
We can honor Sen. Bucco’s memory by remembering his many legislative contributions and the positive, bipartisan way he fashioned support for that legislation.
On behalf of the N.J. Chamber of Commerce and its Board of Directors, I offer condolences to his wife Helen and his son, Assemblyman Anthony Bucco. |
