New Brunswick Impeach & Remove Rally – 12/17/19
Nobody Is Above the Law Rally in New Brunswick, NJ to Demand Trump Be Impeached and Removed From Office
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — On Tuesday, December 17th at 5:30 PM local time, the night before the U.S. House of Representatives votes to impeach Donald Trump for his high crimes and misdemeanors, activists will gather at [location] as part of the nationwide “Nobody Is Above the Law” rallies. The No One Is Above the Law Rally at the New Brunswick City Clerk’s Office (78 Bayard St. New Brunswick NJ 08901) will be one over 500 actions occurring nationwide in more than 40 states and Washington, D.C.
The mobilization is part of a massive, grassroots effort to ensure Congress holds Donald Trump accountable for using military aid to pressure Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 elections. Protestors will demand that the House of Representatives fulfills its constitutional duty by impeaching Donald Trump and that the Senate remove him from office for attempting to rig the 2020 elections. Congress must show that no one—including the criminal in the White House—is above the law.
Rally attendees will begin to convene at the location around 5:00 pm. We will come together in an evening of solidarity, enjoy live music from the Solidarity Singers, and hear from some of the states top activists and organizers as we discuss the impeachment and our path forward from here.
Activists will use #NotAboveTheLaw engage communities on social media. Information about other events can be found at Impeach.org. The link to the event in New Brunswick is https://act.moveon.org/event/impeach-and-remove-attend/125880.
