New Jersey Democratic State Committee Announces Training Sessions for Democrats Interested in Running for Office

TRENTON, N.J. — For the second year in a row, the New Jersey Democratic State Committee is hosting three candidate training sessions in the spring to provide Democrats interested in running for office with the resources they need to run a successful campaign. These trainings will be offered through a partnership with the National Democratic Training Committee.

“Providing Democrats with the crucial tools, training and funding they need to run strong campaigns is a top priority for the New Jersey Democratic State Committee,” said NJDSC Chairman John Currie. “This partnership with the National Democratic Training Committee allows us to build off a historic Midterm Election as we prepare to elect more Democrats and progressives to positions up and down the ballot.”

Training sessions are scheduled for March 23 in Morris County, March 24 in Bergen County and April 13 in Ocean County. Candidates interested in attending can RSVP online, and additional information about locations will be announced in the coming weeks. Participants will learn how to develop and implement field plans, review and understand fundraising regulations, receive best practice tips on crafting campaign messaging, and be introduced to strategies that will engage allies and vendors among other skills.

“New Jersey voters deserve qualified candidates who are prepared to protect the rights and values of all people,” said NJDSC Vice Chair Lizette Delgado-Polanco. “Providing these necessary trainings in partnership with our National Committee helps keep our commitment of supporting Democratic candidates and helps us pave a path to success up and down the ballot in November.”
