New Jersey Democratic State Committee Expecting Record Turnout at Annual Conference

Governor Phil Murphy and Senator Cory Booker will open the conference with a Welcome Reception on Thursday evening

 

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — The New Jersey Democratic State Committee is expecting a record turnout at its “Riding the Blue Wave” conference taking place at Harrah’s Resort and Casino from September 20-21. Hundreds of party leaders and grassroots activists will be coming together in Atlantic City to work towards re-electing U.S. Senator Bob Menendez and New Jersey’s Democratic Congressional candidates to take back control of the House of Representatives.

Governor Phil Murphy, First Lady Tammy Murphy, Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver, U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez, NJDSC Chairman John Currie, NJDSC Vice Chairwoman Lizette Delgado-Polanco and Mayor Ras Baraka are all scheduled to speak at the conference. In addition, members of dozens of grassroots progressive organizations and community leaders will be in attendance.

The conference will open with a Welcome Reception with Governor Murphy and Senator Booker on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. DNC Chairman Tom Perez will be the guest speaker at Friday afternoon’s Riding the Blue Wave Lunch with our Congressional District Candidates. The conference will close with a Cocktail Reception and Send-off with Senator Menendez.

Events listed on the conference schedule are open to the press. Members of the media interested in attending should RSVP and press credentials will be available at the main check-in tables. Registration begins at 2 p.m. on Thursday and 7:30 a.m. on Friday.
