New Jersey Institute for Social Justice Launches College and University Social Justice Coalition with One-Day Symposium at Rutgers-New Brunswick

On March 30 at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice will launch the College and University Social Justice Coalition with a one-day symposium for student activists from across the state, including students from Monmouth University, Montclair State University, and Rutgers University.

 

“We are inspired by the students from across the country who are working for social justice,” said Elizabeth Weill-Greenberg, Communications Director for the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice. “We hope this Coalition will help New Jersey student activists connect with, learn from, and empower each other.”

The day will feature training opportunities for student organizers as well as a networking session with social justice organizations including, the Drug Policy Alliance, Advocates for Children of New Jersey, the Anti-Poverty Network of New Jersey, and the New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice.
