Trenton, NJ — New Jersey LCV, the political voice for the environment in New Jersey, today announced new members of its Board of Trustees and new leadership for both its 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations. The new board members bring a range of professional experiences, perspectives and community connections to an organization working to advance a healthier environment and a stronger New Jersey.

New Jersey LCV welcomes four new members to its Board for the 2026 calendar year.:

New C4 Board Members

“We are thrilled to welcome Aly, Arifa, Samantha, and Lori to the New Jersey LCV boards,” said Randy Jones, New Jersey LCV C4 Board Chair. “A strong organization is built on the people who are willing to bring their experience, perspective and commitment to the work, and these new board members add important voices to our leadership. We look forward to working together to protect New Jersey’s environment and ensure that clean air, clean water, open space and a healthy environment remain priorities for communities across our state.”

When we give people the knowledge and tools to understand the environmental challenges facing their communities, we empower them to become informed advocates and active participants in creating change.”

Jason Krane, Chief Development Officer, New Jersey LCV, emphasized the importance of building a board that reflects the diversity of New Jersey and brings a broad range of skills and experiences to the organization.

That diversity of perspective makes us stronger and helps us build the relationships, resources and support necessary to advance our mission.”

New Jersey LCV also announced new executive committee leadership for its 501(c)(4) and 501(c)(3) organizations, effective September 17, 2026.

New C4 Board Members

Aly Azhar

Aly Azhar works as the NJ Policy Director with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and currently lives in Princeton, NJ. He has worked in the utility industry for about seven years and has a master’s in public administration in energy policy from Columbia University. An avid hiker, beach-goer and trail-walker, Aly recognizes the importance of the work of LCV and is excited to have joined the Board! As the NJ Policy Director for NRDC, Aly leads NRDC's clean energy and climate change policy work in the Garden State and coordinates with stakeholders such as LCV to strengthen NJ's climate resiliency.

Arifa Khandwalla

Arifa Khandwalla is a Princeton-based policy professional and nonprofit leader with experience in climate research, finance, governance and community engagement. Her career integrates rigorous quantitative analysis with mission-driven public service across the nonprofit, academic, and private sectors. Arifa served on Governor Mikie Sherill's interdisciplinary task force and serves on the board of non-profits in Princeton. She is also the second vice-chair of the Democratic Party in Princeton.

She holds a master’s degree in engineering and public policy (environmental modeling) from Carnegie Mellon University, a master’s degree in quantitative Methods from Columbia University, an MBA in Finance and Management from New York University, and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Smith College. Her professional background includes climate research and technology policy work at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, international development, nonprofit strategy consulting and experience in real estate development. Arifa brings a strong foundation in data-driven decision-making, political experience and a commitment to mitigating climate change and sustainability.

Samantha Adamo Rogan

Samantha is driving thought leadership for sustainability at Siemens Digital Industries by leading sustainability empowerment, enablement, and education activities, identifying and creating content for key communication channels and events, and executing on sustainability digital marketing strategy for industry. Samantha is also a director of Making a Mark Foundation NJ, a charitable family foundation focused on empowering change for the environment and underrepresented communities through awareness, knowledge, and inclusive opportunities.

Samantha graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Business, where she majored in Marketing with a minor in Psychology, and a concentration in Digital Marketing and Analytics. While completing her Masters of Sustainability Leadership degree at Arizona State University (ASU), Samantha worked as a Graduate Service Assistant within the School of Sustainability on a behavior interventions curriculum focusing on sustainable food consumption on ASU's campus. She also worked as a Graduate Service Assistant Community Resilience Fellow on a youth-centered urban cooling project hosted by the City of Tempe Sustainability and Resilience Office in partnership with ASU. Previously, Samantha was the Social Media Assistant for New Jersey LCV, and she is excited to return as a member of the C3 board.

Lori Sigel Rabinowitz

Lori Siegel Rabinowitz combines over 20 years of experience in both capital markets and financial planning to serve an exclusive clientele of private business owners, corporate executives and other high net worth individuals, as well as endowments and foundations. She works with these clients to develop strategies that address a broad array of investment, pre-transaction planning and philanthropic planning matters.

Lori graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with honors, with a B.A. in international affairs and French from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. While attending university, Lori also matriculated at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. Lori holds a Certificate in Financial Planning from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University. She is a graduate of the Pingry School in Basking Ridge, New Jersey and resides in Westfield, New Jersey with her husband and two daughters.
