NEW JERSEY LCV MOURNS THE DEATH OF ENVIRONMENTALIST EDWARD LlOYD

TRENTON – The following is a statement from Julia Somers, Board Chair, New Jersey LCV, on the death of Edward Lloyd.

“New Jersey lost a real advocate for the environment with the passing of Edward Lloyd. Ed was a humble, kind, thoughtful, and brilliant man, who was also one of New Jersey's leading environmental champions, as well as for the Pinelands, where he served for many years as a Pinelands Commissioner,” said Julia Somers, Board Chair, New Jersey LCV. “Ed shared and fought for the same ideals as New Jersey LCV. He cared that all New Jerseyans have a right to clean air, safe drinking water, and access to open space for recreation. He believed that no matter your zip code, you deserved to live in a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Ed and his work will be sorely missed.”

The New Jersey League of Conservation Voters is a non-partisan organization whose mission is to elect environmental champions, hold public officials accountable, and support laws which protect our environment and improve the quality of people’s lives.
