New Jersey Society of CPAs Annual Convention & Expo Inspires Professionals to Maximize Their Potential 

ROSELAND, N.J. – The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) invites CPAs, academia, students and other accounting professionals to “go beyond” and “maximize their value” by foreseeing client needs, finding growth opportunities and enhancing their careers at the 2019 NJCPA Convention & Expo to be held June 11-14 at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City.

Attendees will discover new and invigorating ways to think beyond traditional business operations and learn how to leverage new technology, capture new business trends and plan strategically for the future. Speakers from public and private practice, academia and New Jersey’s legislature will be on hand to inform attendees about topical issues affecting New Jersey businesses, regulatory developments, the changing landscape of accounting, automation and tips to retain staff.

Keynote speakers will engage in lively discussions about the future of accounting, putting data and analytics into practical use, and the skills needed to lead effectively. Speakers include Jason Dorsey, researcher and president, The Center for Generational Kinetics; JT Kostman, Ph.D., data scientist, mathematician, psychologist and CEO, Applied Artificial Intelligence; Alex Sheen, founder of a social movement about keeping promises; and Amy Vetter, CPA, CITP, CGMA, CEO of The B3 Method Institute.

A New Jersey Business and Economic Roundtable will delve into what the public and private sectors need to do in order to make New Jersey a more attractive place to live and do business. Panelists include Assemblyman Roy Freiman; Brigid Harrison, MA, Ph.D., a professor in political science and law at Montclair State University; Senator Steven V. Oroho; and NJTV business correspondent Rhonda Schaffler.
