The Nigerian American Public Affairs Committee of New Jersey (NAPAC NJ) is proud to endorse Veronica Akaezuwa for Jersey City Council representing Ward D. As a non-partisan organization committed to engaging, informing, and empowering Nigerian Americans through policy impact, education, health and wellness, effective advocacy, and economic empowerment, we believe Veronica exemplifies the values and leadership our community needs.

Veronica Akaezuwa is a dedicated public servant and community activist whose career reflects a deep commitment to equity, transparency, and inclusive governance. Her work as Director of Policy & Advocacy at New Jersey Appleseed has focused on rooting out corruption and reforming government to better serve the people, not special interests. Her leadership in advancing voter reform through Voter Choice NJ, and her prior role at the NJ State Office of Innovation, demonstrate her ability to drive meaningful change through data-driven policy and community engagement.

Veronica’s candidacy is a testament to the growing impact of Nigerian Americans in public service. Her voice, experience, and vision will be invaluable in shaping a Jersey City that is inclusive, forward-thinking, and responsive to the needs of its residents.

We encourage all eligible voters in Ward D to vote and support Veronica Akaezuwa, and her entire slate members. Also, all are welcome to join us in building a future where every community member has the opportunity to thrive here at NAPAC NJ.
